GO TO ASSIST FOR MACOS
MacOS) introduced added security features that require additional permissions for using the full feature set of GoToAssist Remote Support. To allow SPS IT technicians to fully remote control your computer, perform the following steps.
1. In the top left corner of the desktop, click the Apple icon.
2. Select System Preferences.
3. Click Privacy & Security. Click to enlarge
4. In the menu list, click Accessibility
5. Turn on the toggle-switch to allow control for GoToAssistRemoteSupport Click to enlarge
6. Take one step back to the previous window by clicking on the left-arrow icon.
7. In the menu list, click Screen Recording
8. Turn on the toggle-switch to allow control for GoToAssistRemoteSupport Click to enlarge
Note: Currently, macOS Ventura only allows users with admin privileges to enable Screen Recording.
Note: You may not see all of the items listed. If you see none of the items listed, please end the session and try connecting again.
GO TO ASSIST FOR WINDOWS
1. Visit fastsupport.gotoassist.com
2. Type your name and the Support Key received from your Agent and click Continue to proceed.
3. If you receive a pop up select “Open GoTo Opener”.
4. Allow go to opener to install “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device”. Select Yes.
5. Approve Session – Go ToAssist. Select Yes on this screen to join the agent’s session
