How to create a Gmail account

To sign up for Gmail, create a Google Account. You can use the username and password to sign in to Gmail and other Google products like YouTube, Google Play, and Google Drive. 

Sign up for a Gmail account 
  1. Go to Create an account 
  2. Enter your First and (optional) Last name 
  3. Enter your birthday and gender 
  4. Create a Gmail address 
  5. Create a password 
  6. (Optional) Add a recovery email 

How to Share Google Drive Files & Folders with a Link

Select the folder name, right click, select share. Enter in the name or email address of the people you want to share access with. 

Share files from Google Drive – Get a Shareable Link 

Select the folder name, right click, select share. On the upper right-hand corner, select Get Shareable Link. The default option will be set to Anyone with the link can view. Another option is Anyone with the link can edit. Click copy link to share with others.  

How to Set Up Email Forwarding in Gmail

  1. Open Gmail and click the Settings gear icon in the top right. 
  2. Select See all settings. 
  3. Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. 
  4. In the Forwarding section, click Add a forwarding address. 
  5. Enter the email address you want to forward messages to and click Next. 
  6. A confirmation email will be sent to the address. Open it and click the verification link. 
  7. Once verified, select Forward a copy of incoming mail to and choose how Gmail should handle forwarded messages (keep, mark as read, archive, or delete). 

How to Set Up and Manage Google Calendar Events

Create an Event: 
  1. Open Google Calendar by clicking on the Google Apps icon and selecting Calendar. 
  2. Click on a date and time slot to create a new event. 
  3. Add a title, location, and description. 
  4. Set the time, add guests, and configure notifications. 
  5. (Optional) Click More options to further customize your event.  
  6. Click Save to add the event to your calendar. 
Manage Events: 
  1. Click on the event in your calendar. 
  2. To edit, click the Edit pencil icon. 
  3. Make changes and click Save. 
  4. To delete, click Delete (trash icon) and choose whether to delete just that event or all recurring events.
