Minimum Hardware Specifications
To successfully complete the assignments and activities in the Master of Science in Data Science Program or Master of Science in Health Analytics Program, you must use a laptop or desktop computer that meets the following specifications:
- Processor: 8th Generation Intel® CoreTM i7-8700 Processor (3.20GHz, up to 4.60GHz with Turbo Boost, 12MB Cache)
- Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64
- Memory: 16.0GB DDR4 2666 MHz
- Hard Drive: 500 GB 7200 RPM + 256GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB
- Keyboard: Wireless English Keyboard
- Pointing Device: Wireless Mouse
- Network: 802.11 AC adapter or Gigabit Ethernet
- Webcam
Students whose systems do not meet minimum requirements can use Google Colaboratory.
Note: SPS IT does not recommend using a Mac because they do not support all software used by MSDS classes.
