My career journey
I have both a BA and an MS in Communications from Grand Valley State University. My propensity for creating things manually, combined with a passion for visual arts and communication, has led to a fulfilling career in multimedia storytelling, often developing experiences, environments, and interfaces that promote critical thinking and collaboration.
My inspiration
I gained an appreciation for technology, design, and learning while growing up near Detroit, where my parents and many of my extended family work in the automotive industry and local school systems. Summers were spent working in the wilderness of the Upper Peninsula, where I learned construction and outdoor survival skills.
Where I’m from/Where I am at
My family and I currently reside in the Andersonville neighborhood.
My interests outside of work
I believe that challenging oneself is important to personal and professional growth and enjoy working on crazy projects with like-minded riffraff.
Rewards of my job
I find our overall approach to accommodating the flexible learning needs of professionals convenient and enjoy discovering new ways to enhance the process of digital collaboration.
