Yeonjun Jeong
I grew up in Seoul, South Korea before attending Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), where I earned my B.S. degree in Chemistry. As of spring 2018, I am a second-year graduate student in the Schatz group. My research focuses on plasmon-mediated resonance energy transfer between molecules or nanoparticles under various surrounding dielectric environments, using generalized Mie theory and finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. To that end, I am pursuing a deep understanding of how plasmonic materials respond to electromagnetic radiations.
Outside of science, I enjoy reading books, watching movies, and sometimes playing the violin.
