I am postdoc in the Department of Chemistry, Northwestern University working Prof. George C Schatz in the field of reactions dynamics. We are trying to explore the dynamics and mechanisms from molecules to clusters using different quantum mechanical theories, computational tools and techniques.

Before moving to Northwestern University, I was postdoctoral in the Prof. David R. Yarkony group at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA. I have work experience to generate the coupled potential energy surfaces using multireference configuration interaction level of theory (MRCI) which eliminates the electronic structure of bottle neck to study the nonadiabatic dynamics. What is effects of lights on conical interactions (LICI) this was another area of my research?

I was born in Purulia (West Bengal) , India where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Raghunathpur College. In the following course of study, I move to Banaras Hindu University where I completed Master of Science in Chemistry and continue the doctoral research. I worked with Prof. Biswajit Maiti in the field of the contribution of nonadiabatic dynamics in chemical reactivity and graduated in early 2023.
