Graduate Students
Graduates students interested in joining our lab are encouraged to apply to Northwestern University’s DGP and MSTP programs. Current students in the DGP program can reach out to Smriti to discuss potential rotation projects. For students in Evanston-based programs such as IBiS, please reach out to Smriti to discuss options.
Postdoctoral Research Associates
We are actively seeking postdoctoral fellows with a background in structural biology, protein biochemistry, or related fields. Those with experience in using techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM), X-ray crystallography, or single-particle analysis are especially encouraged to apply. If interested, please send Smriti your CV, a brief description of your research interests, and contact details for three references.
Master’s Students
Students from Northwestern’s Master of Science in Biotechnology Program (MBP) who are interested in doing their research thesis with us are encouraged to reach out to Smriti.
Undergraduates
Undergraduate students with an interest in protein misfolding, quality control, or structural biology are welcome to inquire about available research projects. We encourage students to engage in long-term projects spanning multiple quarters or semesters, committing 15-20 hours per week during the academic year, and potentially full-time in the summer, to gain meaningful research experience.
