Smriti grew up in Delhi, India where she received her Bachelor’s in Biotechnology Engineering from Maharshi Dayanand University, India. She then moved to the States and obtained her Master’s and PhD at UCLA. She was a postdoctoral fellow at UCSF before starting her own research group at Northwestern University. She lives in Chicago with her husband and two kids. Outside of lab, she enjoys running and yoga.

Originally from Germany, Hannah graduated with B.A. in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University. She recently joined the Sangwan Lab, where she hopes to expand her knowledge of structural biology, refine her lab skills, and explore future career options! Outside of the lab she enjoys baking, running along the lakefront, and sailing.
