Postdoctoral Researchers

The Braun Computational Biocomplexity Lab at Northwestern Unive/rsity is actively recruiting up to two postdoctoral researchers with quantitative backgrounds (PhD in statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science, or related disciplines) to join our research team. Projects in our lab are devoted to developing computational models to elucidate information processing and signaling networks, self-organization at the molecular and multi-cellular scales, as well as evolution and population dynamics. As a postdoc, you will:

  • Identify problems or issues of importance in the functioning of living systems and hypothesize possible mechanisms underlying the function;
  • Create computational models to quantitatively investigate these hypotheses, in collaboration with experimental labs;
  • Write about research and work in papers to be published in leading, peer-reviewed scientific journals and discussed at leading conferences
  • Mentor and help teach graduate and undergraduate students
  • Write proposals to obtain research funding
  • Perform other duties as assigned

To apply, please send a CV, Statement of Research Interests, and contact information for at least three references to Rosemary Braun.

Student research

We welcome PhD students, MS students, and undergraduates to join our research projects.  Students come from a variety of programs and backgrounds, from biology to applied math. Interested?  Contact Prof Braun!
