Lunch at the Block!

— TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4th 11:30 – 1:00 —

Interested in the public life of the humanities? Curious about alternative careers for humanities doctoral students? Join the NU Public Humanities Colloquium! We’ll be kicking off a series of events for the year with lunch (pizza! salad!) at the Block Museum on December 4th. History doctoral student Angela Tate will tell us about her experiences in the Humanities Without Walls career diversity summer workshop. We’ll talk with Block Museum staff about their career paths. We’ll hear about the Graduate Engagement Opportunity–a partnership of the Center for Civic Engagement, Chicago Field Studies, and The Graduate School. We’ll eat pizza and, hopefully, hear from you about the kinds of events that might interest you this year. This event is especially designed for current Northwestern grad students and recent doctoral and MA grads, but all are welcome.

Lunch will be provided thanks to the Center for Civic Engagement, and this event is generously co-sponsored by the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities.
