Sneak Peek FAQs

To apply for this year’s Sneak Peek, please fill out this short application.

What is the purpose of Sneak Peek? Sneak Peek is an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to learn more about pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology.

What will I get to do as part of Sneak Peek? This event will offer a variety of activities that are designed to introduce attendees to Northwestern’s top-tier psychology program and to graduate education more broadly. Students who are accepted to Sneak Peek will have a chance to meet individually or in small groups with our department’s faculty members, talk about life as a Ph.D. student with current grad students, hear about the cutting-edge research coming out of our department, and more.

When and where will Sneak Peek 2024 take place? This year, Sneak Peek will take place from May 30th – 31st.

Sneak Peek 2024 will be held in person on Northwestern’s beautiful campus just outside of Chicago, IL. Applicants who are admitted to the program will have all of their expenses paid, including their flights, hotel, and food!

Who can apply to Sneak Peek? We seek applicants whose personal experiences with diversity (e.g., socioeconomic diversity, racial diversity, gender diversity, sexual diversity, or disability-related diversity) have shaped their thinking and potential career interests, including the possibility of attending a graduate school program. You must be at least a junior in college to apply (students who have already graduated from college or who are currently in a Master’s program are also eligible!)

When is the application deadline? You must complete the application by Friday, March 22nd.

Who can I contact if I have questions? If you have any questions about the application or the program, you can email sneakpeeknu@gmail.com
