Research Study Coordinator
Leishla Pérez-Cardona, MPHE (she/her) is a Research Study Coordinator at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing. She has a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico and recently completed a Master’s in Public Health Education from the University of Puerto Rico’s Medical Science Campus. Before working at ISGMH, she spent two years as a research assistant at the SexTEAM, affiliated to the University of Puerto Rico. This is a team of professionals dedicated to LGBT health, particularly GBMSM health and HIV prevention. With them she began collaborating on the SMART Project as part of the cultural and linguistic adaptation team. Her work focuses on the sexual health of LGBT populations, particularly MSM and Trans Women.
