Jeremy Birnholtz, Ph.D. (he/him), is an associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies and directs the Social Media Lab at Northwestern. His research focuses on self-presentation and interaction in online environments including social media, dating applications and collaboration tools. His work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Facebook and Google.
