Positions Available

A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately to study the response of oligodendrocytes to adverse intracellular and extracellular conditions, including ER stress, oxidative stress, inflammation and hypoxia.  Cytoprotective response pathways will be examined, and manipulated genetically, in oligodendrocytes in vitro, as well as in mouse models of demyelination.  The influence of these pathways on the aging nervous system will also be examined.  A variety of genetic mouse models, as well as various neuropathological, behavioral, biochemical and molecular approaches, including single-cell RNA sequencing, will be used in these analyses.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular Genetics or a related field and a strong record of scholarly achievement.
