Training Fee

There is no training fee per se: Training is done by staff guidance during the first several depositions done by the user, gradually providing less assistance. Typically, this involves 2 hours of staff time during the first deposition, 1 hour during the second and 1/2 hour for the third and fourth depositions. During the training period the user pays for the staff time in addition to the instrument time.

Analysis Fee

A wide range of analysis tools are available at Northwestern University. These can be found under the Support Services tab. These instruments can be operated by the user, after training, or by the technical staff. In the first case only and instrument and training fee would apply; in the latter case an instrument and staff fee would apply.

Supply Fee

The PLD facility stocks a number of types of targets and substrates. These are available to users at the facility cost provided they are used in the facility. Contact the staff with regard to availability.
