Innovative Surgical Program
Research efforts in surgical innovation and clinical outcomes by the PEDIA-SURG team are closely linked with Dr Lautz and Dr Goldstein’s novel clinical programs.
Robotic Surgery Program
The pediatric surgery robotics program led by PEDIA-SURG co-PIs Timothy Lautz & Seth Goldstein is one of the leading programs for pediatric robotic surgery in the country. With extensive experience in robotic approaches for thoracic, foregut, oncology, colorectal and hernia surgery, the Lurie robotics team is breaking new ground in the application of this novel technology.

Fluorescent-Guided Surgery Program
The Lurie Children’s Fluorescent-Guided Surgery (FGS) program, led by PEDIA-SURG co-PIs Timothy Lautz & Seth Goldstein is at the cutting edge in the application of augmented surgical visualization using novel fluorescence agents. The Lurie FGS program uses fluorescent adjuncts to augment surgical visual for hepatibiliary surgery, surgical oncology, foregut surgery and colorectal surgery.
