About

Welcome to OWF

Founded in 1981, the Northwestern University Organization of Women Faculty (OWF) has long been a national leader in its efforts to improve conditions in higher education for women faculty and graduate students. Both an advocacy group and a networking resource, the OWF offers women faculty at all institutional levels an opportunity to be heard and to help shape University policy.

Our Mission

The Organization of Women Faculty (OWF) has long been a national leader in its efforts to improve conditions in higher education for women faculty and graduate students. Both an advocacy group and a networking resource, the OWF offers women faculty at all institutional levels an opportunity to be heard and to help shape University policy.  Our open forums allow for input regarding University policies and the OWF initiatives. Our fall and spring pop-up faculty clubs provide networking and socializing opportunities.

OWF:
  • Holds open discussions of current university policy and practice
  • Gives voice to concerns specific to women faculty
  • Provides networking and social opportunities
