At VC², we color OUTSIDE the lines: Vibrant Colors Collective—or VC2 for short—is a Northwestern theater organization that strives to approach and produce theatre rough a multicultural lens. We are devoted entirely to producing theater for the communities that have been historically silenced—not just at Northwestern, but in the theater community as a whole. We prioritize our community first, and the wellbeing of our collaborators to ensure their success when working with our team.

History of VC2
Vibrant Colors Collective was conceived in 2021 by four first-year theatre majors who wanted to create a space where they felt safe, represented, and able to pursue artistic endeavors. After onboarding three others in their grade, this group of seven officially founded and registered the organization Vibrant Colors Collective in March of 2022.
In the winter of 2023, VC2 saw their inaugural production, Pa’Lante: A Cabaret, come to life in the Shanley Pavilion, highlighting multicultural students’ talents and stories. While this was the only large production of their first year on campus, VC2 spent the rest of the year focused on providing opportunities to the community through open mics, forums, and biweekly meetings that were open to all multicultural students interested in the arts. In addition to this, they spent the year growing in size to be able to pursue more artistic projects and educational programs.
Excited for the 2023-2024 school year, VC2 is happy to announce their first full season. Consisting of two fully produced productions, one cabaret, and a new work project, Vibrant Colors Collective will continue to put first the needs of the multicultural students on our campus. While our story has only begun, we are excited to continue making a difference on this campus by coloring outside the lines one stroke at a time.
