Welcome to the First Annual Stuccy Awards! We are so glad you’ve all chosen to join us tonight. The Stuccy Awards (StuCo Tony Awards, pronounced STUCK-EE) recognizes excellence (and sometimes lack thereof) in live student theatre at Northwestern University. Originally imagined as a joke, the Stuccy Awards are the MOST PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS in Northwestern Student Theatre, and we cannot WAIT for you to take part in this brand new tradition. We promise it will be cute and fun, and unlike at the Wirtz Center, all of the big decisions were decided by YOU, THE PEOPLE!
In the same vain as the Rock Show, the Stuccy Awards are meant to be a large celebration of the entire student theatre community coming together, and anyone and everyone is welcome to take part in the extravaganza. The goal is to connect, empower, and celebrate all of the amazing work we’ve accomplished in the past year, and to look back on the silliest, sexiest, and of course, jankiest, moments from 2022-2023. Thank you to everyone who voted, who came to the show, who helped with the tech, writing, marketing, and choreography, and all of the wonderful supporters/donors. This would not have been possible without you!
