Alongside the research experience, NURPH fellows will learn fundamental materials science concepts in graduate student-led classes. The class curriculum is tailored to prioritize hands-on learning over traditional lecture-style presentations.
In addition, fellows will develop skills such as scientific communication and data analysis and work on their college applications in workshops in preparation for higher education and careers in STEM.
