Hendrik A. Dewald, PhD
Hendrik joined Northwestern University’s Biomedical Engineering Department as a postdoctoral scholar in October 2023. His research aims at understanding the impact of material properties of muscle on the propagation of shear waves in Ultrasound Shear Wave Elastography. Hendrik is originally from the Chicagoland area, and did his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before getting his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. First joining NUPA as a member of the Social Subcommittee, he now serves as Treasurer.
