Ellie Siu
Co President
Ellie is one of China Care’s Co-presidents. She is currently studying Biological Sciences and Psychology. “Growing up in Hong Kong and immigrating to the United States, I joined China Care to become more involved in supporting the local Chinese youth community in Evanston and Chicago, as well as contributing to a cause I care deeply about. At China Care, I enjoyed mentoring young children and building friendships with them. I am excited to share my cultural heritage and help foster a warm and welcoming community for everyone.”
Christina Li
Co President
Christina is one of China Care’s Co-Presidents. She is currently studying Psychology. “I love brainstorming and hosting events and activities for children and families in the surrounding area. It was so nice for everyone to have fun together and learn about Chinese culture and traditions in the meantime.”
Felicia Mou
Treasurer
Felicia Mou is China Care’s Treasurer. She is currently a sophomore double-majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology with a minor in Spanish. She has always enjoyed working with children, so she is excited to work closely with children in the community. She joined China Care to support them in embracing their Chinese heritage with a warm community.
Kathleen Chen
Secretary
Kathleen is currently studying Biological Sciences. Kathleen joined China Care because she believed that China Care’s philanthropic goals closely aligned with her goals in giving back to the community and hopes to help Chinese adoptees connect with their cultural identity.
Sherry Huang
Co-Playgroup Chair
Sherry is studying Psychology and Data Science. “I joined China Care because it’s a very caring student organization dedicated to promoting Chinese culture through a variety of engaging and enriching events for nearby communities. I feel a sense of belongingness here and I really love the people in the club.”
Ethan Brazelton
Co-Playgroup Chair
Ethan is studying Chemistry, Asian Languages and Culture. “I love holding playgroups with the kids and families seeing them meet each other and having fun. It’s really awesome giving the kids a chance to meet, learn, and have fun with Asian culture.”
Jenny Zhao
Mentorship Chair
Jenny is studying Biomedical Engineering & Neuroscience. “I like meeting other Northwestern Students sharing common interest, and my favorite part of China Care is the end of quarter socials where I get to know everyone outside of club event planning.”
