The Northwestern University Anxiety Lab is conducting a research study on the effectiveness of the Working with Difficult Thoughts Meditation.
This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the meditation by determining whether it reduces levels of stress and anxiety. If you participate, you will be asked to complete questionnaires, to complete meditation sessions, and to complete a follow-up visit.
You may participate if you
– Are 18 or over
– Have at least two identifiable bothersome thoughts
– Are an English speaker
– Have access to a computer
– Have not had prior experience with this meditation or a similar one
– Have been on a constant medication dosage for at least a month (if on medication)
