Charlotte Rosen

Charlotte Rosen is a PhD candidate in the History department at Northwestern University. Her dissertation explores how prison overcrowding and prisoner resistance shaped the development of racialized mass incarceration in late-twentieth century Pennsylvania. Prior to graduate study, Charlotte worked in affordable housing advocacy in the Bay Area and received her B.A. in History from St. Olaf College. She started volunteering with NPEP in 2019 and is looking forward to helping the program thrive as a member of the Graduate Student Advisory Committee.
