The Northwestern Libraries are happy to introduce Charla Wilson, the Archivist for the Black Experience at Northwestern. Wilson’s primary focus as archivist will be to document the lives of Black students, faculty, alumni, and organizations at Northwestern University.
Wilson holds a degree in American studies, with course concentration relating to African-American history and culture, from Scripps College. Her graduate degrees are from Claremont Graduate University and from California State University San Marcos. Wilson’s previous position was with the Barona Cultural Center & Museum of California and, prior to that, the Women’s Museum of California. Wilson brings skills in acquisition, digitization, public services, archives, oral history, and public programming around historical collections.
