New librarians for music, business join Northwestern

The Northwestern University Libraries are pleased to welcome two new librarians to its staff:

  • Emily Boyd

    Boyd

    Emily Boyd has joined as a Business/Data Analytics Librarian. She was most recently a Business, Economics, and Engineering Librarian at Dartmouth College, and before that worked in business development and user testing for an East Coast technology startup. At Northwestern, she will focus on the Kellogg School of Management, assisting with faculty and students with resources and data analysis in areas such as demographics, market research, and financial reports. Boyd holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern University (Environmental Studies and History), and received her Master of Science in Information Systems from Simmons College in Boston.

  • Joy Doan

    Doan

    Joy Doan is the new Music Research and Instruction Librarian in the Music Library. Doan previously held positions at California State University, Northridge, where she served as a Faculty-Librarian in the Research, Instruction and Outreach Services department, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she served as the Music Inquiry and Research Librarian. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Music from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Music History from Case Western Reserve University, and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from San Jose State University.
