For the second year in a row, Northwestern University Libraries is excited to welcome architecture buffs and curious sightseers to Charles Deering Memorial Library this weekend for Open House Chicago.
The annual event organized by the Chicago Architecture Foundation throws open the doors to more than 200 homes, business, performance spaces and, yes, libraries so the public can appreciate the architectural gems scattered around Chicagoland. Deering is one of three structures on the Evanston campus open for the event.
Deering Library will be open to OHC visitors:
Saturday, Oct 15: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday, Oct 16: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
If you can’t make it during those hours, don’t worry! Deering is open to the public outside of Open House Chicago. Just check our hours here before your visit. (Note our public hours are more limited than our hours for students and faculty.)
