I wouldn’t say unwelcomed or feel overwhelmed, not in the negative aspect. Also overwhelmed sounds a bit too strong for me, I don’t think I have been there, but I am sure I have been in situations where I felt awkward because I would be the minority, the only white person in a situation but I am okay with it because I willingly go to such places or events being Qatari weddings or whatnot, it has never been in issue. Also, I have never been unwelcomed as an expat here, and surprisingly and mostly ironically the only time I was faced with discrimination here, of which being an expat came into the light, was from an American person who lives here. I still find that quite ironic and funny in some way.
