From his own background back in Pakistan or from his time in Sudan, the underprivileged have always been something he wanted to speak up about. Being a part of NorthPressTern has given him that chance with him also bringing in his own viewpoints to lead the team to prosperity.

Enjoying writing from a young age, Rea has previously worked for two English national dailies back in her home country, Nepal. Being born in London, but raised in Kathmandu, she has experienced two vastly different worlds, enlightening her on the fact that there are numerous stories all around the globe which are important, yet neglected. Thus, it has become her mission here at NorthPressTern to try to represent the unrepresented.

Having been a film enthusiast since his early childhood, Farouk has decided to pursue his passion for videography at NUQ, one that he has polished and developed for years now. Farouk is the Founder & Director of the Moroccan Youth Film Festival, the first ever film festival dedicated to students aged 19 or younger in Morocco. Outside of academics Farouk plays football, does videography, and swims.

Hoi Leng Iam (Marcel) is an active and talkative guy who wants to reach out to everyone and have conversations with them. He has a big objective on his bucket list: to bring everyone an equal platform where they can voice out their own opinion freely. With this in mind, there is no surprise that he takes charge of the NorthPressTern’s Vox Pops without hesitation.
