Northwestern Emotion and Risk Lab (NEAR Lab)

The Northwestern Emotion and Risk Lab (NEAR Lab) conducts multi-method research to explore the relation between mood and anxiety disorders, the nature and familial transmission of emotional disorders, and basic questions in affective science. Our research program integrates clinical and epidemiological approaches with neuroscience and psychophysiological methods. We are based in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and have strong collaborations with researchers in the Psychology Department at Northwestern University and at other institutions.
