Brennan Antone is PhD Candidate in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences at Northwestern University. Brennan studies social networks across teams and technology. His research examines what enables teams to thrive in challenging circumstances – whether the challenges entail remote work, organizational crises, or long-duration space exploration.

Y. Jasmine Wu is a second-year Ph.D. student in Media, Technology, and Society. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Information Science and Communication. Jasmine applies advanced computational tools to understand team processes in both research and industrial settings to further improve management and team performance.

Feodora is the lab manager for the SONIC research group at Northwestern University. Feodora graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science. Prior to joining SONIC, she was a research assistant at the Social Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory and Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Program at UCLA. She is interested in the intersection of social and clinical psychology, including mental health and interpersonal relationships/communication. She is excited to explore social network analysis and learn new ways to leverage this technique in the different aspect of social science research.

Noshir Contractor is the Jane S. & William J. White Professor of Behavioral Sciences in the McCormick School of Engineering & Applied Science, the School of Communication and the Kellogg School of Management and Director of the Science of Networks in Communities (SONIC) Research Group at Northwestern University.
Professor Contractor has been at the forefront of three emerging interdisciplines: network science, computational social science and web science. He is investigating how social and knowledge networks form – and perform – in contexts including business, scientific communities, healthcare and space travel. His research has been funded continuously for 25 years by the U.S. National Science Foundation with additional funding from the U.S. National Institutes of Health, NASA, DARPA, Army Research Laboratory and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
