The Northwestern University Black Professionals Network is open to all who strive to build community through shared experiences to foster open dialogue, leadership and mentorship that will improve the NU black professional experience. All are welcome to participate.
We are proud to announce that Tracey Gibson-Jackson, Director of Student Organizations & Activities in Student Affairs, has received the Jean E. Shedd University Citizenship Award. Recognized for her transformative leadership, Tracey created the Black Professionals Network, fostering a vital community for Black staff at Northwestern. Her impactful work also includes her role as Co-Chair of NUSAC.
BPN proudly introduces BPN Book Talks, a program for reading literary works together and engaging directly with authors.
Ankle-Deep in Pacific Water is E. Hughes' debut collection of lyric poems, blending personal narrative with historical themes. It explores Black familial love, migration, and the lasting effects of anti-Blackness in the San Francisco Bay Area.
