The MURI for Electrochemical Imaging and Mechanistic Studies on the Nanoscale supports graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are actively engaged in the research. These researchers receive valuable training in areas that are critical to the DoD, such as electrochemistry, scanning electrochemical imaging, surface- and tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, nanoparticle synthesis, functionalization and characterization, and computational chemistry.  They participate in semi-monthly progress meetings and gain valuable experience presenting research results and communicating effectively with collaborators.  They also gain valuable presentation skills disseminating the results of the MURI project at scholarly meetings and conferences.
