New methods in advanced manufacturing have opened the door to a world of new possibilities of applications, which range from everyday residential products to large-scale commercial products and solutions. Designing and developing these solutions to their fullest extent requires research on the relationship between process, structure, property, and performance. Our research utilizes both a computational and experimental approach to determine the parameters to develop the optimal solution. Different computational methods such as machine learning and topology optimization are experimented with along with varying experimental methods. Together, powerful solutions to everyday problems can be created.
