Emmanuel Adeara

Emmanuel Oluwatimilehin Adeara is an experienced field archaeologist with a robust background in archaeological fieldwork and laboratory analysis, with an emphasis on ceramics. He holds a Master of Arts in Archaeology from the University of Ibadan. Emmanuel has worked on several field research projects in Nigeria. He has been a member of the Oyo Empire Archaeological and Heritage Research Project since 2017. He is also part of the “Materiality of Early Modernity in the Yoruba World” research group in the Material History Lab. He is a co-author, with Akin Ogundiran and others, of “Methodological Protocols for Understanding Decomposed Mud Wall Residential Structures in Oyo-Ile (c. 1570–1837), Nigeria” in The South African Archaeological Bulletin, 76(214):43-56 (2021).
