Mapping Latinx Modernism

Mapping Latinx Modernism is a digital research project aimed at illuminating the rich and prodigious archive of Spanish-language print culture in the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Our research team is working diligently to catalogue the tens of thousands of poems, short stories, chronicles, and serialized novels that appeared in the pages of Spanish-language newspapers and magazines from New York to Los Angeles. Our goal is to create an interactive map that visitors can use to explore the archive. This website tracks our ongoing efforts.
