Master of Product Design and Development Management (mpd²)
The Master of Product Design and Development Management Program at Northwestern University was co-founded by Walter Herbst and Richard Lueptow in 2002. By 2010 the program was named by Business Week as one of the top 30 programs worldwide wide in design. Over 600 students have graduated from the program since the first graduating class in 2004. Prior to stepping back from the program in 2018 to focus on administrative responsibilities as Senior Associate Dean of the McCormick School of Engineering, Lueptow served as Co-Director of the MPD2 Program and taught its capstone design course.
