About

My name is Kathleen Reardon. I am in my first year as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Cleveland State University. I am a core faculty member in the Clinical Psychology specialization of the Master of Arts degree.

Previously, I spent two years as the Madigan Family Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Family Institute at Northwestern University, working on research with Dr. Erika Lawrence and providing clinical services for children, adolescents, and adults.

I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Stony Brook University Consortium Internship Program during the 2018-2019 year.

I graduated from the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Northwestern University in 2019. I started my graduate training at the University of Houston in 2012 under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Tackett, and relocated with her to Northwestern in time for the 2015-2016 school year.

Before that, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh;  after graduation I worked as a research assistant for two years conducting home visits with participant families as a part of the Pitt Parents and Children Lab under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Shaw.

Here’s a magazine interview I did about diagnostic boundaries in clinical psychology.

I served as a Leadership Fellow at Northwestern for the 2017-2018 school year.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time cooking and trying new restaurants. I also love spending time with my dog, Tilly. I’ve recently started a ceramics class where I’m learning to tolerate my frustration when making lopsided things on a pottery wheel.
