Overview
Kellogg classrooms have been configured to create an immersive synchronous experience for in-person and remote students. This page contains information (+ classroom pictures) on the technical setups of these rooms and a link to sign up for technical orientations with KIS.
Experiences, best practices and faculty testimonials are detailed on the Teaching Support website and in the Digital Innovation playbook.
Classrooms at Kellogg are setup with the following equipment:
- High definition camera (your video feed) in the back of the room
- Large display to see your remote students (Zoom gallery view) in the back of the room (tiered rooms only)
- Room laptop to use as your teaching computer (or bring your own), and display gallery view on the right projector
- Room computer controlling the audio, video, speakers and content being shared on the left projector
KIS partners with the Kellogg Teaching Support team help ensure you are setup for success in the classroom. Please view detailed information on the Teaching Support Hybrid Teaching website.
Here are the following services we encourage you to take advantage of, if you are teaching for the first time in the hybrid format or would like a refresher.
Before the first day of class
- Sign up for a 1:1 session with KIS to review Zoom basics and review your home technology setup

- You can see your remote students in Zoom gallery view in front of you and is projecting correctly in the classroom
- You can hear your remote students and they can hear you
- Answer any questions you have
During class
