“Learning Apps” in Canvas Left Nav

IMPORTANT: Remove from your Canvas course left nav if not using. To simplify finding and installing supported learning apps in a Canvas course,  a new tab for NU Learning Apps is now available in the left navigation of all Canvas course sites.  Each tool you add will be its own link in the left nav.

Zoom Update 5.6.0: Guests in Authenticated Meetings, Closed Captioning

The latest version of Zoom is version 5.6.0 – view instructions to update your Zoom client. Following are 2 new updates introduced in Zoom which you may want to take advantage of this quarter. Zoom 5.5.0 Update: Yes/No Persistent Non-Verbal Feedback Returns

Non-verbal feedback, which is now included in meeting reactions, will return to the previous behavior, in which they are persistent until the attendee or host removes them (does not automatically disappear). Download Online Videos for a Presentation

Starting Winter 2021 KIS will no longer be supporting video downloading from websites. You can download videos you find online, for example from YouTube, into your presentation. To achieve this, there are 2 options: For YouTube videos, you can install and use the free Firefox add-on “Download YouTube”. Or purchase and download the Wondershare Uniconverter.

Zoom Update 5.4.6: Co-hosts can now launch Breakout Rooms

Useful features part of Zoom’s update latest update 5.4.6 include: Enhanced co-host privileges over Breakout Rooms Co-hosts have the same breakout room controls as the meeting host, such as starting or ending breakout rooms, assigning participants, etc. Move participants to main session from breakout room Hosts and co-hosts have the option to assign a participant
