Pronouns have been enabled in Canvas. They appear next to a person’s name in:

• Comment Fields
• Discussions
• Inbox
• People Page (Course and Groups)
• User Navigation Menu
• User Profile Page
• User Settings Page

To enable, any Canvas user (students, faculty, staff) should:

1. Log in to Canvas
2. Click on Account on the left-hand navigation
3. Click on Settings
4. Click on Edit Settings
5. Select pronouns from the dropdown list 
6. Click “Update Settings”
