Useful features part of Zoom’s latest update 5.3.0 include:

• Students self-select breakout room and move amongst breakout rooms, if you enable this in Breakout Rooms
  
• Students can self-spotlight
• As host, you can still join any room but the Join link doesn’t immediately appear. Click on Breakout Rooms –> Click the number next to a grouping and click Join.

You will also get the update from 5.2.2 that includes:

• Custom gallery view organization – you can move your student’s video feeds around in the order you wish and it will remain as such until the end of the session.
  
• Multi-pin and multi-spotlight – your VCM can spotlight you and other students at the same time (new Active Speaker view). IMPORTANT: your students must be on Zoom version 5.2.2 or later to see this. If using an earlier version, students will only see the person who is speaking (active speaker).
•
