We had a crash course on how to use flies to answer big questions in Neuroscience, led by Leah.

January 6th 2025
Cristina joins the lab as a ResearchTechnologist. She is interested in understanding how diet and sleep affect substance use disorder.
Alexia starts her rotation in the lab. She is a PhD student in the NUIN Program that is interested in studying how the gut can regulate behavior

Leah is the first person to join the team! Leah will be a research technologist that will use her former experience with flies and organizational skills to help setting up the lab and establishing techniques.
The lab is open!

We open the Inter-organ Regulation of Internal States (IRIS) Lab. Looking forward to make meaningful scientific contributions to the understanding of how peripheral organs regulate behavior using flies.
