If you’ve submitted your Master’s Degree Completion and Application Degree Form and you have been approved to graduate from your program this Winter or Spring you are eligible to participate in the June Celebrations listed below. On February 15th this email was sent from the President’s Office at Northwestern University, you will continue to receive many more emails in the upcoming weeks that will be full of information regarding the ceremonies, tickets, regalia, and celebrations – please be certain to open and read all communication from NU and your Program Administration. We ask that you familiarize yourself with the language for your ceremony, we are known on campus as The Family Institute Programs – as that is where the Center is located and where your graduate programs are managed. As a graduating student, you are invited to participate in two celebrations, the Family Institute Convocation Ceremony, and the All-University Graduation Ceremony. Please do not register for or request tickets for any other ceremony not listed here. For example, the TGS Hooding Ceremony is for PH.D. and MFA Graduates ONLY.
The Family Institute and the Center for Applied Psychological and Family Studies Convocation Ceremony
On Saturday, June 10th at 9:30 AM CST you are invited to participate in the Center for Applied Psychological and Family Studies Convocation Ceremony – (this ceremony is also often listed as The Family Institute Convocation). It is during this ceremony that you will have an opportunity to march with your cohort and to walk across the stage as your invited guests cheer and celebrate you.Tickets for TFI Convocation Ceremony
Reserve guest tickets for The Family Institute Convocation Ceremony beginning today, February 28th, from the Northwestern Athletics Ticketing Website. Log-in with the following promotion code:TFI23+StudentID

You may order up to 10 tickets for this ceremony. Seats are general admission. If you order fewer than 10 but later want to order more (not to exceed 10) please see the additional ordering instructions on the Tickets page of the Graduation website.
Place ticket reservations by May 23. Tickets will be sent to your Northwestern email at the beginning of June.

The 165th Commencement Ceremony will take place at Ryan Field on Monday, June 12th at 9:00 AM CST to confer degrees and celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of the Class of 2023. Expect all the Pomp and Circumstance, with speeches, presentations and performances; the President and Deans of the University will recognize the accomplishments of all Northwestern Graduates. Each participating degree candidate will be allocated 10 guest tickets for the ceremony held at Ryan Field. Guest tickets will be available for you to obtain beginning Tuesday, February 28, 2023. If any of your guests are using wheelchairs or have limited mobility (no stairs, limited walking) you will need to indicate that during the ticketing process. These seats will count toward your ticket allotment for Commencement and convocations. Please have conversations with your guests before ordering so you will know if you need any wheelchair seats or mobility access seats. If your guests have other accessibility needs besides seating, please visit the Guests with Accessibility Needs webpage for additional information about accommodations.
Academic Regalia
Ordering for graduation attire, also called regalia, opens today, Tuesday, February 28th. Visit the regalia page of the Graduation website to find the link, along with guidelines and further details about your Northwestern regalia. There are several key dates for regalia ordering:• April 21 – Ordering deadline for Bachelor’s and Master’s shipping to Evanston bookstore and ALL PhD regalia
• May 12 – Ordering deadline for Bachelor’s and Master’s ship to home (additional shipping fees apply)
• May 24 – Regalia pick-up begins for orders shipped to Evanston bookstoreGrad Fair
We invite you to stop by the Grad Fair on Thursday, March 2nd between 10 am and 5 pm. Representatives will be on hand to answer your questions on tickets and regalia and help you through the ordering process. You will be able to see graduation announcements and class rings from Balfour, donate to the 2023 Class Gift, learn more about the Alumni Association, and receive a complimentary candid from our graduation photographer.
