Opportunities

Graduate Studies

The Hultquist lab is always excited to recruit exceptional Ph.D. students. Rotation opportunities are ongoing, with one each summer and three others throughout the academic year. Prior to contacting Dr. Hultquist, each interested student must first be accepted to an approved graduate or medical scientist training program affiliated with the Feinberg School of Medicine.

Application to many of these programs is centralized under the Walter S. and Lucienne Driskill Graduate Program in Life Sciences. Successful applicants to other doctoral or combined programs will also be considered.

Postdoctoral Positions

The Hultquist lab is looking to hire talented post-doctoral scholars to lead newly funded projects at the crossroads of primary cell gene editing and HIV molecular virology.

Applicants must: 1) have a doctoral degree in molecular biology, biological sciences, or similar, 2) be comfortable working both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, and 3) have prior wet lab experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology. Candidates with previous experience in gene editing, virology, and computational biology are preferred.

The Hultquist lab is located on the downtown medical campus of Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, USA. To apply or inquire about the positions available, please reach out to Dr. Hultquist directly by e-mail at: judd.hultquist@northwestern.edu
