PBS collaborates with Ken Alder. On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, PBS airs the documentary series titled, “American Experience,” with the spring season titled, “The Lie Detector”

Yes – the very same title as Alder’s book, The Lie Detector. Alder served as a talking head and consultant on the show.

Both Alder’s book and the PBS documentary tackle the challenging topics such as police reform and police violence in America – including the unintended consequences of bringing scientific methods to bear on the practice of justice in this country.
