Excel Spreadsheets for Screw Pile Calculations

 

The spreadsheet below calculates the installation torque for a single-helix pile in clay according the formula given by Hambleton and Stanier (2019).  The formula is modified to allow for axial (crowd) force on the plate to become negative, which occurs when the applied crowd force is insufficient to overcome axial force mobilized along the shaft.
