Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Study

Description

The purpose of this study is to test a novel behavioral treatment – Adapted Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (ACBT) – to standard Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). The goal of the study is to determine if ACBT improves outcomes for women with depression and low literacy. This project is sponsored by The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital through the Eleanor Wood-Prince Grant Initiative.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to Treat Itch Rumination (Itch CBT)

Description

The goal of this project is to develop a brief telemedicine version of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat children who have been diagnosed with pediatric atopic dermatitis. In this study, you and your child will be randomly assigned to either receive CBT for itch or standard of care, provided by your child’s doctor. The study will last a total of 4 weeks. You and your child will be asked to answer questions weekly and, if randomized to the CBT group, participate in weekly calls with a study therapist. This study is completed remotely, you will be asked to participate in video calls and complete questionnaires electronically. This project is sponsored by The National Eczema Association (NEA).

Decision aid for pediatric atopic dermatitis

Description

The goal of this study is to create a decision aid for pediatric atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema. The decision aid will help patients and parents understand treatment options.  This study will hold focus groups with parents/caregivers of children with eczema and children with eczema to learn more about their experiences and treatment options. This project is sponsored by Pfizer.
