Group 10

United Nations:
As part of the EU studies programme, our group took an excursion to Geneva where we were able to visit the UN and see discussion on Climate Change, Labour, and Human Rights take place. It was a great opportunity to hear from the Canadian Speaker about how indigenous human rights are being affected by Climate Change, and a powerful moment to see policy in action.
Art in Paris:
Paris has an abundance of museums, and getting to see Monet’s water lilies was an incredibly reflective and pensive experience.
We also stumbled upon an artist’s studio in downtown Paris where you can see Artists working on their art in real-time. The building has 5-7 floors of artists each occupying a different niche and story, and it was incredible to see how the artists draw inspiration from Parisian street life and strangers wandering into the building! The city is filled with opportunity for artists and wandering poets to become impassioned by simple beauty here, as well as extravagance. Preview attachment IMG_9086.HEIC
