Depicted here is a Snake sculpture running down the hill overlooking the Giardino dell’Orticoltura in Florence. I went here to do water color paintings with my drawing class overlooking the city and the greenhouse. There is a stream of water running down the back of the snake/dragon. I thought this was a really cool installation.
Jordon and I had both taken trips to see a nearby coastal area this past weekend. Jordon went to see Howth, Ireland by taking a train from Dublin. He went on a hike with some friends along the water. Here they got to see great views of the sea and this Medieval wall.
I went on a trip to Riomaggiore (part of the Cinque Terre on the Northwest coast of Italy). It seems like a lot of the economy here was built around tourism which is due to the fact that it gets so many visitors for its scenic views. Most people here were eating, shopping, hiking, or cliff jumping. My favorite part was our hike to Manarola- having to get over the small mountain between the two villages was a bit more a feat than we initially anticipated (especially because it had just rained), but it was worth the views we got of the city especially during sunset.
